Gyokuro Ume-jirushi 100g by Taniguchien
Gyokuro Umejirushi delivers an extremely savory, brothy tea experience, with umami that fills the mouth and a thick, rich liquor on the tongue. The tasting notes lean toward something nori-like, deep and oceanic in a way that's distinct from typical green tea. For the price, it's an outstanding value.
Gyokuro Umejirushi is a true Ujicha, tea from the Uji region of Kyoto, long recognized as one of Japan's most celebrated tea-growing areas and often counted among the "three great teas of Japan."
Brewing
Cool freshly boiled water to about 50Β°C (122Β°F). Add 6g of leaves per serving to a teapot, pour in 100ml of water, and steep for 150 seconds. Pour out completely, down to the last drop. For the best results, lean toward brewing at 50Β°C or slightly lower, for a longer steep.
